Features At A Glance

A Simple Way To Access Your Information In One Place

Once logged in to the platform, you have access to the following areas:
Expenses & Change Orders... Eliminate “sticker shock”

Every decision made on the selection sheet is automatically reflected on the expenses page. With a single click, you can see how each of your choices have affected the final price of your construction project. If you need to approve a change order, you can do it electronically, saving you the time and hassle of faxing or mailing signatures back to us.

Selection Sheet... See choices and stay on schedule

The site organizes selection items on a single color-coded list, displayed with all of the pertinent pricing and other helpful information. Upcoming selections are automatically flagged to help keep you on schedule. With just a few clicks, you can enter your choices.

Milestones... Understand the next steps

Every construction project is an involved process, so the site will show you a list of major milestones on your project. You can check the progress made so far and see what steps are coming up next.

Questions List... Never lose answers to your questions

Over the course of a project, you'll have lots of questions. This platform will help you keep all of those questions - and our answers - organized and in one place. Simply enter your questions and our responses will be listed right next to them.

Builder’s To-Do List... See items as they happen

A Carroll Construction representative may post some to-do items on the platform. While you cannot add items to this list, viewing it can help give you an idea of how things are moving along on your project.

E-mail Updates... Let new information come to you

You can access the platform at any time & from anywhere. When updates to items that you need to see are made, you will also receive an e-mail each morning letting you know.

Comments, Photos, and Files... Stop jumbled e-mails

As construction progresses, you will need to have “conversations” about certain items, like asking for clarification on a selection or providing an update on a warranty request. Rather than using e-mail, you can add comments to many of the items in the platform. Comments group these conversations together with the items to which they relate, which keeps information organized and available to everyone, cutting down on misunderstandings. Photos and files can even be posted/shared via the platform!

Warranty List... Easily track loose ends

Once your project is complete, you can submit warranty requests online. You can come back to the site to check the status, add comments as necessary, and then verify when they are complete.

IMPORTANT LOAN CONSIDERATIONS

Your budget is the foundation for every other decision you will make while preparing to build a home because it provides context for what is possible. Most people attempt to answer the question of “What is my budget?” by simply deciding how much they would be comfortable spending. Unfortunately, while this is a crucial part of the process, it ignores the rest of the picture. We advise our clients to answer the following questions in the order below. However, if you are self-financing the project, skip to question #3.

1. How much will a financial institution lend me?

This sets what we refer to as your Maximum Loan Amount.

2. What type of loan will I need?

This is where many people get confused because if you ask the wrong questions when interviewing lenders, you’ll get vastly different answers. We recommend reviewing the information in this article on the loan type you will need before meeting with your lending candidates.

3. How much am I willing to spend?

Just because a lender is will to lend up to your Maximum Loan Amount, this does not mean you will be willing to borrow and spend that amount. Consider the monthly payments as a starting point and adjust your Budget amount from there. Your chosen lender can help you with this.

4. What can I reasonably expect to build for what I am willing to spend?

This answer will come from a qualified builder during your preliminary meeting. Be prepared to discuss your budget so that the builder can help you get a better idea of what size home to design to meet your goals.
